The ocean acoustic environment is rich and vastly undersampled yet listening and understanding its role is instrumental in addressing the challenges that the ocean is facing today.
This series of panels was developed as a proposed design for an exhibition introducing viewers to the science of ocean acoustics.
Aiming for the public to gain new appreciation and understanding of the role of sound in marine ecosystems, the series tells the story of sound in the ocean, from basic facts and definitions to how essential it is to all life underwater.
